Our team was assigned to carry out geotechnical investigations on sites where there are conflicts between the wastewater transmission line from Alexandria, to south Dabaa and the following gas lines “Edco/Abu Homs gas line (42 inches), Amreya/Sidi Kerir gas pipeline (24 inches), and Raven gas line (30 inches)”. The objective of the study was to analyze the soil properties and evaluate its load-bearing capacity to ensure that the construction of the transmission line would not cause any disruption or harm to the existing gas pipelines.
